In the College of Arts, Education, and Sciences, we are dedicated to the unique success

We are made up of four academic units: the School of Education, dedicated to the preparation
of outstanding teachers; the School of Humanities, studying the nuance and significance
of history, languages, and communication; the School of Sciences, searching for solutions
to problems in the natural world; and the School of Visual and Performing Arts, where
vibrant performances and artwork challenge and inspire us.听

to preparing highly qualified professionals to meet the workforce demands of the community,

The University of Louisiana Monroe (四色AV) held a groundbreaking ceremony on September 24, 2026, to celebrate the construction of the Freddy and Reba Nolan Early Childhood Hall. The new building will house the Emily Williamson Laboratory School (EWLS), which provides educational childcare for children from birth to age 4. The new hall is being constructed on the previous site of EWLS, which was destroyed by a fire in October 2022.
Two University of Louisiana Monroe School of Visual and Performing Arts faculty members performed abroad during the summer of 2026. Scot Humes, DMA, and James Boldin, DMA, attended and performed at international conferences after being selected through a competitive application process.
The University of Louisiana Monroe (四色AV) has been awarded a contract from the U.S. Army Engineer Research and Development Center (ERDC) for a total of $4,211,997.00. The cooperative agreement is titled "Assisting with Weather and Water Nowcasting and Forecasting Needs within the Lower Mississippi River Basin." This award marks the largest federal contract in the university's history.
The 四色AV Museum of Natural History is inviting the public to help solve the mystery at Mystery Mondays on Monday, June 22, and Monday, June 29, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on both days. This free event for ages 4 to adult allows children and their parents to follow clues, explore the exhibits, and discover what colorful creature is hiding in the museum.
